What Are Countermeasures?

They are the difference between
running and surviving.
Between panic and plan.
Between another funeral and another chance.

We’re building patrol brigades.
Teaching families how to defend their homes.
Mapping escape routes.
Training women to lead.
Preparing communities to respond before it's too late.

Why We Take Countermeasures

Thousands of Haitians have been victims of violence  not just because of terrorist attacks, but because they didn’t know how to protect themselves. They were caught off guard.
Unarmed.
Untrained.
Unprepared.

They didn’t run because they didn’t know where to run. They didn’t fight because no one showed them how. They didn’t survive because they had no system no tools, no plan, no backup. And the cost? Lives lost. Homes burned. Families torn apart.

We cannot let this cycle continue.

02

Now We Fight Back With Strategy

We Protect Network is taking a new approach to saving lives  one that is bold, practical, and community-powered. We’re not just handing out food.
We’re not just building shelters.

We are teaching countermeasure techniques  real, life-saving strategies that help people detect danger, respond fast, and protect themselves and their families.

Our Countermeasures Include:

  • Defense training so communities know how to respond to danger

  • Rapid alert systems so no one is caught off guard

  • Safe exit routes mapped and known by every family

  • Psychological readiness to handle fear, trauma, and survival

  • Tactical shelters, escape plans, and neighborhood patrols

04

This Is a New Kind of Protection

We don’t want to count the unalive children anymore.
We want to count the lives saved.

That’s why every program we launch from rebuilding homes to reintegrating deportees includes a countermeasure plan.
Because hope is not enough. We need strategy. We need action. We need protection.
